In-Dash Computer Self-Diagnostic Mode

NOTE:
It is normal for popping sounds to be heard in the speakers while the in-dash computer is transitioning between modes. This is due to the power cycling of the in-dash computer.
- Turn the in-dash computer on and navigate to the home screen.
- Press and hold the power button and the phone button simultaneously for 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank.
- The system automatically restarts in diagnostic mode.

The in-dash computer displays a series of crosshairs that must be selected with the stylus in order to calibrate the touchscreen.AUDIO MICROPHONE
SPEAKERThe in-dash computer displays a set of words that can be spoken to determine if the microphone is operating correctly.
The in-dash computer broadcasts a test message through the speakers to verify speaker output.FILE SYSTEM FLASH The in-dash computer checks the operation of the internal flash memory. The icon turns green if the test passes, or red if the test fails. MMC The in-dash computer checks the operation of the internal memory. The icon turns green if the test passes, or red if the test fails. USB The in-dash computer checks the operation of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) drive. The icon turns green if the test passes, or red if the test fails. Before the test is run, a mass storage device (such as a thumbdrive) must be plugged into the USB port or the results will not be accurate. SD
ALL FSThe in-dash computer checks the operation of the secure digital (SD) port and card. The icon turns green if the test passes, or red if the test fails. Before the test is run, the Garmin® card must be plugged into the SD slot or the results will not be accurate.
The in-dash computer runs all 4 of the previous file system tests and reports the results. Each icon turns green if the test passes, or red if the test fails.HARD BUTTON - The in-dash computer displays visual icons of each hard button. When a hard button is pressed, the icon turns blue to confirm the button press. If steering wheel controls are present, the VOL-, VOL+, SEEK-, and SEEK+ can also be tested. BLUETOOTH - The in-dash computer attempts to locate any Bluetooth devices within range, confirming the operation of the Bluetooth connection. Before carrying out this test, plug the Multi-Media Interface Tester into the USB port and set it to Bluetooth mode. RADIO - The in-dash computer tests the speaker connections. If any of the speakers fail the test, the box for that speaker turns red. CDMA/ GPS - The in-dash computer checks the availability of the mobile network and the Global Positioning System (GPS) signal. The signal strengths are displayed on the screen. SYSTEM INFO - The in-dash computer displays various system information, including application version, radio version, operating system version, and hardware version. - To exit the self-diagnostic mode, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank.
- The system automatically restarts in normal mode.
