Stability/Traction Control Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Ford Flex. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The stability/traction control switch can be used by the driver to disable and enable the traction control, ESC  and the RSC®  systems. When the switch is pressed, all 3 systems are disabled. When the systems are disabled the stability/traction control indicator ("sliding-car icon") in the Instrument Cluster (IC) (or message center if equipped) will illuminate. The standard anti-lock control system cannot be disabled through the use of the stability/traction control switch.
