Engine Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor - 4.6L (3V), 5.4L (3V)





NOTE: 5.4L (3V) shown, 4.6L (3V) similar.










Removal and Installation

1. Remove the intake manifold.

2. Disconnect the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the CHT.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply anti-seize to the threads of the CHT sensor.
