The stability/traction control indicator is never on	Stability/traction control system PCM ABS module IC	Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
Only the red brake warning indicator is always/never on	Wiring, terminals or connectors Parking brake switch Brake fluid level switch Smart Junction Box (SJB) IC	Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The yellow ABS warning indicator is always on	DTCs in the ABS module	RETRIEVE and RECORD any ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
-	ABS module IC	If there are no DTCs present in the ABS module, Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The stability/traction control indicator is always on	DTCs in the ABS module	RETRIEVE and RECORD any ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
-	Stability/traction control system PCM IC Restraints Control Module (RCM)	If there are no DTCs present in the ABS module, Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
Both the yellow ABS warning indicator and the stability/traction control indicator are always on	DTCs in the ABS module	RETRIEVE and RECORD any ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
-	Stability/traction control system PCM ABS module IC RCM	If there are no DTCs present in the ABS module, Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
All 3 indicators (red brake, yellow ABS and stability/traction control) are always on	DTCs in the ABS module	RETRIEVE and RECORD any ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
-	Wiring, terminals or connectors Parking brake switch Brake fluid level switch Stability/traction control system SJB PCM ABS module IC RCM	If there are no DTCs present in the ABS module, Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The red brake warning indicator always/never on	Brake fluid level low and/or brake fluid leaks Brake fluid level switch Parking brake switch Wiring, terminals or connectors SJB	Refer o Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
Spongy brake pedal with no warning indicator	Air in the brake hydraulic system	BLEED the brake system and the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU). Refer o Brake System Bleeding in BRAKE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
-	Damaged or incorrectly installed brake components	INSPECT the brake pedal, brake booster and master cylinder for correct installation. Refer o HYDRAULIC BRAKE ACTUATION for the brake pedal and master cylinder. Refer o POWER BRAKE ACTUATION for the brake booster. CORRECT the installation or INSTALL new as necessary. TEST the system for normal operation.
Poor vehicle tracking during anti-lock function	Air in the hydraulic brake system HCU	Go To PINPOINT TEST L .
-	Base brake system	Refer o BRAKE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
The stability traction control system is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Stability traction control switch ABS module IC RCM	Go To PINPOINT TEST G .
