Global Positioning System Module (GPSM)

For vehicles without navigation, the GPSM provides vehicle location for real-time traffic reports and rerouting, and for identifying vehicle location in the event of a collision and also provides the signal for the compass.
For vehicles with navigation, the GPSM acts as the antenna for the navigation system.
The vehicle location information is broadcast to the APIM over the MS-CAN .
