Removal and Installation

Edge 

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.
  1. Upload the GPSM  configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions.
  2. Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
  3. Release the clip and remove the GPSM  .
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

    MKX 

    NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.
  4. Upload the GPSM  configuration information to the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions.
  5. Remove the LH IPC  top cover. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  6. Release the clip and remove the GPSM  .
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.

    All vehicles 

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  8. Download the GPSM  configuration information from the scan tool to the new GPSM  following the scan tool on screen instructions.
