| Possible Causes: | |||
| Diagnostic Aids:
Check for other DTCs and diagnose those first. Make sure to check for aftermarket performance products. If an updated calibration is available, update the calibration to the latest level. Clear the DTCs. If an updated calibration is not available, clear the KAM, clear the DTCs, then turn the ignition OFF. Turn the ignition to START and press the accelerator to start the engine. Allow the engine to run for ten seconds and then turn the ignition OFF for 10 seconds. Turn the ignition ON and repeat the self-test. If the code is not retrieved again, the system is operating normally and the vehicle can be returned to the customer. If the code is retrieved again, replace the PCM. Refer to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EEPROM) , PROGRAMMING THE VID BLOCK FOR A REPLACEMENT PCM . |
