Pinpoint Test

  1. INSPECT THE Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) BRACKET
    1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to LIFTING POINTS .
    2. Inspect the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) bracket for damage.
      • Is the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) bracket damaged? 
      1. Yes:  REPAIR or REPLACE the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) bracket as necessary. REFER to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) .
      2. No:  GO to on page 2.
  2. CARRY OUT THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT
      NOTE: Remove the front bumper cover to carry-out the vertical alignment procedure.
    1. Carry out the alignment procedures for the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM). REFER to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) (WITH SENSOR) ADJUSTMENT .
      • Does the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) align correctly? 
      1. Yes:  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern was caused by a misaligned sensor.
      2. No:  INSTALL a new Cruise-Control Module (C-CM). REFER to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) .
