- VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes:
GO to 2
on page 2.
- No:
The system is operating normally at this time. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Does the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) pass the network test?
- Yes:
GO to 3
on page 2.
- No:
REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE U .
- CHECK THE Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) FOR BATTERY VOLTAGE OUT-OF-RANGE Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
- Using a scan tool, perform the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) self-test.
- Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U3003:16 or Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U3003:17 recorded?
- Yes:
REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE Q or REFER to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE R .
- No:
GO to 4
on page 2.
- RECHECK THE Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)
- Using a scan tool, clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Ignition ON.
- Repeat the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) self-test.
- Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0104 still present?
- Yes:
GO to 5
on page 2.
- No:
The system is operating normally at this time. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- CHECK FOR Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0104 OR Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0104:00 SET IN OTHER MODULES
- Clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, retrieve the continuous memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from all modules.
- Is Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U0104 or U0104:00 set in other modules?
- Yes:
INSTALL a new Cruise-Control Module (C-CM). REFER to CRUISE CONTROL MODULE (C-CM) .
- No:
INSTALL a new Powertrain Control Module (PCM). REFER to POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
