Removal and Installation

NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the Audio Control Module (ACM) to retrieve the part number. For additional information, refer to AUDIO CONTROL MODULE (ACM) SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MODE .
- Upload the ACM configuration information to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION SYSTEM article.
- Remove the floor console cupholder by prying upward with a suitable tool (such as a flat-bladed trim remover) to release the clips.
- Remove the LH and RH floor console finish mouldings by prying upward with a suitable tool (such as a flat-bladed trim remover) to release the clips.
- Start at the rear and work forward.
- Slide the finish moulding downward to disengage the top-front clip and remove the finish moulding.
- Remove the 2 screws and position the selector lever trim panel rearward.
- Disengage the front clips.
- Remove the 4 screws and the ACM/Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) as an assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors and the antenna cables.
- Remove the 4 screws and separate the ACM from the FCIM.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Download the configuration information to the ACM. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION SYSTEM article.
NOTE:
Module configuration is required when a new ACM is being installed.
