Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING article.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING & CABLES -- FUSION, MILAN & MKZ article.
Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING - 3.5L -- FUSION & MKZ article.
Disconnect the selector lever cable end.

Disconnect the Transmission Control Module (TCM) electrical connector.

Remove the manual control lever nut.

Remove the bolts and remove the TCM.
