During the ignition cycle when the DTC was set the following will happen: steering assist is reduced, the PSCM transmits an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN and the module sends a message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display SERVICE POWER STEERING in the message center.

If the concern continues DTC U3000:96 sets, the PSCM removes steering assist and enters into a manual mode, the module also sends a message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW in the message center.
