Cylinder Block Distortion

- Use a straight edge and a feeler gauge to inspect the cylinder block for flatness.
- For additional information, refer to the specification chart in the appropriate engine procedure.
- If out of specification, install a new short block assembly. Refer to ENGINE - 2.3L , ENGINE - 3.0L (2V) or ENGINE - 4.0L SINGLE OVERHEAD CAMSHAFT (SOHC) for the procedure.
