Exterior Lighting: Notes

NOTE:
The Smart Junction Box (SJB) is also known as the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
NOTE:
Cutaway and stripped chassis vehicles are supplied circuitry and connectors to support exterior lighting components.
The exterior lighting system consists of the following components:
- Headlamp assemblies
- Front parking/turn lamp assemblies (vehicles with sealed beam headlamps)
- Stoplamp switch
- Headlamp switch
- Multifunction switch
- High mounted stoplamp
- Rear lamp assemblies
- License plate lamps
- Trailer tow connector
- Trailer tow relays
- SJB (located under the instrument panel to the left of the brake pedal)
