Removal and Installation

- If installing a new ABS module, connect the scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the ABS module. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL). For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
- Remove the 4 bolts and position the power steering fluid reservoir and bracket aside.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).
- Remove the 3 bolts and position the degas bottle aside.
- To install, tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.
- Release the lock tab.
- Pull the connector from the module.
- Remove the 4 screws and the ABS module.
- To install, tighten the screws to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new ABS module was installed, download the module configuration information from the scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- For vehicles equipped with Roll Stability Control (RSC®), carry out the IVD Initialization sequence. Follow the scan tool directions.
NOTE:
Do not disconnect the hoses from the power steering reservoir.
