Pinpoint Test O: Traction Control System Cannot Be Disabled

  1. O1 CHECK FOR IPC DTCs 
  2. O2 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER TRACTION CNTRL SELECTION 
    • Using the message center button, navigate to the SETTINGS menu, then the DRIVER ASSIST menu and view the TRACTION CNTRL setting.
    • Configure the traction control on and then off again.
    • Does the TRACTION CNTRL selection change when configured to on and off? 
      1. YES  : GO to O3.
      2. No  : REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES to diagnose message center does not operate correctly.
  3. O3 CHECK THE STABILITY/TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR (SLIDING CAR ICON) OFF LIGHT 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using the message center button, navigate to the SETTINGS menu, then the DRIVER ASSIST menu and view the TRACTION CNTRL setting.
    • Configure the traction control on and then off again.
    • Does the stability/traction control indicator (sliding car icon) OFF indicator illuminate when the traction control is turned off? 
      1. YES  : The system is operating correctly at this time. TEST the system for normal operation.
      2. No  : REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES to diagnose the stability/traction control disabled indicator does not operate correctly.
