Navigation System

The navigation system is resident in the APIM. The APIM uses the FDIM for the map display, and also networks the map data to the IPC for the RH display screen. The map data is stored on the SD card, which must be inserted in the media hub for correct navigation operation. The GPSM receives the GPS signal and networks it to the APIM.
For vehicles with SYNC® but not navigation, turn-by-turn navigation is available as a subscription service. Operation is the same as with the on-screen navigation system except that no detailed map display information is sent to the FDIM.
