Cruise-Control Module (C-CM): Removal

Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) or bracket 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. If a new C-CM  is being installed, connect the scan tool and upload the module configuration information from the original C-CM  . For additional information on configuration, refer to PROGRAMMABLE MODULE INSTALLATION (PMI) .
  3. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to BUMPERS .
  4. Gently pry the C-CM  away from the retaining studs.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Inspect the C-CM  grommets for any damage and install new grommets as necessary.

    Bracket 

  6. Remove the 4 bolts and the C-CM  bracket assembly.
