Side Obstacle Detection (SOD) Module: Installation

  1. Install the Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left (SOD-L) or Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right (SOD-R).
    1. Install the Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left (SOD-L) or Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right (SOD-R) bolt.
      • Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).
    2. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Install the rear bumper cover. REFER to BUMPER COVER - REAR .
  3. If installing a new module, download the module configuration information from the scan tool to the new Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left (SOD-L) or Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right (SOD-R) by following the scan tool on screen instructions.
