Automatic Transaxle DTCS

NOTE: Before performing a self-test, turn the vehicle off and wait 20 seconds.
DTC Description Action
P0297:94 Vehicle Overspeed Condition: Unexpected Operation
  • This DTC  sets if the motor speed exceeds 10, 000 rpm.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • RETURN the vehicle to the customer with information about the DTC  .
P0560:16 System Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold GO to PINPOINT TEST B
P0560:17 System Voltage: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold The DC to DC converter regulates voltage to the low voltage system. DIAGNOSE other TCM  and PCM  DTCs first.
P0604:42 Internal Control Module Random Access Memory (RAM)
Error: General Memory Failure
  • This DTC  indicates the TCM RAM  has been corrupted.
  • REPROGRAM the calibration. CHECK for other DTCs or drive symptoms for further action. If DTC  P0604:42 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0605:42 Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error: General Memory Failure
  • This DTC  indicates the TCM ROM  has been corrupted.
  • REPROGRAM the calibration. CHECK for other DTCs or drive symptoms for further action. If DTC  P0605:42 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P060A:01 Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance: General Electrical Failure
  • This DTC  sets if any one of the AC  phase currents exceeds 675A for 250 milliseconds.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P060A:01 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P060A:02 Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance: General Signal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if there is an internal resolver issue during a commanded active discharge.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P060A:02 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P060A:04 Internal Control Module Monitoring Processor Performance: System Internal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the internal current sensor VREF (reference voltage) offset exceeds 5A.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P060A:04 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P060B:02 Internal Control Module A/D Processing Performance: General Signal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the A/D HV voltage rationality test or inverter enable rationality test fails.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P060B:02 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P061B:1D Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance: Circuit Current Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the internal current sensor VREF (reference voltage) offset exceeds 5A.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P061B:1D returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P061B:1F Internal Control Module Torque Calculation Performance: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  fails an internal quadrant and plausibility check.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P061B:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P062F:42 Internal Control Module EEPROM Error: General Memory Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM EEPROM  check fails.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P062F:42 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A3F:00 Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal resolver monitor channel fault.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A3F:00 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A3F:01 Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit: General Electrical Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal resolver signal degradation.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A3F:01 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A3F:02 Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit: General Signal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal resolver tracking loss.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A3F:02 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A3F:08 Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit: Bus Signal/Message Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal resolver signal failure.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A3F:08 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A3F:1F Drive Motor "A" Position Sensor Circuit: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an intermittent signal from the internal resolver.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A3F:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A78:17 Drive Motor "A" Inverter Performance: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects excessive inverter voltage.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A78:17 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A78:49 Drive Motor "A" Inverter Performance: Internal Electronic Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  inverter fails an internal line switching test.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A78:49 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0A90:46 Drive Motor "A" Performance: Calibration/Parameter Memory Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal resolver stored offset does not match the actual measured offset.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0A90:46 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AED:11 Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit: Circuit Short To Ground
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal temperature sensor signal dropping below 0.3v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AED:11 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AED:15 Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit: Circuit Short To Battery or Open
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal temperature sensor signal rising above 2.9v when any motor phase exceeds 50A for 30 seconds or 200 amps for 5 seconds.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AED:15 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AED:1C Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit: Circuit Voltage Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an internal temperature sensor signal out of range.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AED:1C returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AED:1F Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an intermittent internal temperature sensor signal.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AED:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AED:98 Drive Motor Inverter Temperature Sensor "A" Circuit: Component or System Over Temperature
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects excessive internal temperature.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AED:98 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AF8:16 Hybrid/EV Battery System Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects that the high voltage DC (HVDC) system voltage is less than 190v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AF8:16 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AFB:17 Hybrid/EV Battery System Voltage High: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects that the high voltage DC (HVDC) system voltage is greater than 390v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AFB:17 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0AFB:1C Hybrid/EV Battery System Voltage High: Circuit Voltage Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects that the high voltage DC (HVDC) system voltage is out of range.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0AFB:1C returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3D:16 Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit Low: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 25v supply voltage drops below 18v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3D:16 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3D:1C Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit Low: Circuit Voltage Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 5v supply voltage drops below 4.5v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3D:1C returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3D:1F Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit Low: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 0.5 volt sensor is operating intermittently.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3D:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3E:17 Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit High: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 25v supply voltage rises above 26.25v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3E:17 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3E:1C Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit High: Circuit Voltage Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 5v supply voltage rises above 5.5v.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3E:1C returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0B3E:1F Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage Sense "A" Circuit High: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal 1.5 volt sensor is operating intermittently.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0B3D:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0BFD:1D Drive Motor "A" Phase U-V-W Current Sensor Correlation: Circuit Current Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal phase current sensors do not correlate.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0BFD:1D returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0BFD:1F Drive Motor "A" Phase U-V-W Current Sensor Correlation: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal phase current sensors do not correlate.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0BFD:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0C05:1D Drive Motor "A" Phase U-V-W Circuit/Open: Circuit Current Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects an open motor phase.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0C05:1D returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0C07:19 Drive Motor "A" Phase U-V-W Circuit High: Circuit Current Above Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects any motor phase current exceeding 650A.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0C07:19 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0CBC:11 Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit: Circuit Short To Ground
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects less than 0.15v on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0CBC:11 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0CBC:15 Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit: Circuit Short To Battery or Open
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects more than 2.97v on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0CBC:15 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P0CBD:17 Drive Motor "A" Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  detects more than 155°C on either motor coolant sensor signal circuit.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P0CBD:17 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1601:02 ECM/TCM Serial Communication Error: General Signal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  fails the PCM  rationalit check.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P1601:02 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1608:1F Watchdog Malfunction: Circuit Intermittent
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  indicates a watchdog failure.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P1608:1F returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1627:01 Module Supply Voltage Out Of Range: General Electrical Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal VREF (reference voltage) drops below or exceeds a calibrated value.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P1627:01 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1627:02 Module Supply Voltage Out Of Range: General Signal Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal VREF (reference voltage drops below or exceeds a calibrated value.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P1627:02 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1627:1C Module Supply Voltage Out Of Range: Circuit Voltage Out of Range
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  internal VREF (reference voltage) drops below or exceeds a calibrated value.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  P1627:1C returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .

    REFER to: ELECTRIC MOTOR .

P1A0A:01 Immediate Shutdown Signal A: General Electrical Failure GO to PINPOINT TEST A
P1A0A:17 Immediate Shutdown Signal A: Circuit Voltage Above Threshold GO to PINPOINT TEST A
P1A0A:18 Immediate Shutdown Signal A: Circuit Current Below Threshold GO to PINPOINT TEST A
P1A0A:29 Immediate Shutdown Signal A: Signal Invalid GO to PINPOINT TEST A

  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  indicates the PATS configuration is incomplete.

U1A14:09 CAN Initialization Failure: Component Failure
  • This DTC  sets if the TCM  fails to initialize its internal CAN hardware.
  • CLEAR the DTC  . REPEAT the self-test.
  • If DTC  U1A14:09 returns, INSTALL a new TCM  .
