Pinpoint Test C: U0140:00 - Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM)

• Ignition ON.
• Using a scan tool, perform network test.

Does the Body Control Module (BCM) pass the network test? 

1. Yes  : GO to C2 
2. No  : DIAGNOSE the no communication with the Body Control Module (BCM).

   REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .

• Using a scan tool, carry out the Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) self-test.
• Retrieve and record all Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
• Clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
• Ignition OFF.
• Ignition ON.
• Repeat the Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) self-test.

Is DTC U0140:00 retrieved again? 

1. Yes  : GO to C3 
2. No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC  may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

• Using a scan tool, perform Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) self-test.
• Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) self-test.

Is DTC P0562:00 or DTC P0563:00 recorded? 

1. Yes  : For DTC  P0562:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST A 

   For DTC  P0563:00,

   REFER to: DIRECT CURRENT/DIRECT CURRENT (DC/DC) CONVERTER CONTROL MODULE .

2. No  : GO to C4 

• Using a scan tool, perform Body Control Module (BCM) self-test.
• Check for recorded Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the Body Control Module (BCM) self-test.

Is DTC U3003:16 or DTC U3003:17 recorded? 

1. Yes  : REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .
2. No  : GO to C5 

• Clear all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
• Ignition OFF.
• Ignition ON.
• Wait 10 seconds.
• Using a scan tool, retrieve all continuous memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

Is DTC U0140:00 set in any other modules? 

1. Yes  : INSTALL a new Body Control Module (BCM).

   REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .

2. No  : INSTALL a new Air Conditioning (A/C) Electric Compressor.

   REFER to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) ELECTRIC COMPRESSOR  .
