SYMPTOM CHART

No communication with the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module
  • Fuse(s)
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) control module
REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
Climate control does not operate correctly Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) functions are inoperative/do not operate correctly from touchscreen only
  • Communication network
  • Front Display Interface Module (FDIM)
  • Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM)
REFER to: INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM .
Reduced outlet airflow Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The air inlet door is inoperative Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Incorrect/erratic direction of airflow from outlets Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Insufficient, erratic or no heat Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The Air Conditioning (A/C) is inoperative Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The Air Conditioning (A/C) is always on - Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor does not cycle Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The Air Conditioning (A/C) is always on - Air Conditioning (A/C) mode always commanded ON Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Temperature control is inoperative/does not operate correctly - Left Hand (LH) Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Temperature control is inoperative/does not operate correctly - Right Hand (RH) Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The blower motor is inoperative Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The blower motor does not operate correctly Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Insufficient or erratic cooling Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINE  GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
Air Conditioning (A/C) pressure relief valve discharging
  • High system pressure
  • Air Conditioning (A/C) pressure relief valve
CHECK the high side system pressure. If the pressure is below the Air Conditioning (A/C) pressure relief valve open pressure, INSTALL a new Air Conditioning (A/C) Electric Compressor.
REFER to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) ELECTRIC COMPRESSOR  (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information).
If the system pressure is above the Air Conditioning (A/C) pressure relief valve open pressure, REPAIR the Air Conditioning (A/C) system for a restriction.
