Pinpoint Test R : U1000:00

  1. R1 REVIEW THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Review the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the BCM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present besides U1000:00? 

    Yes  CORRECT the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to BCM DTC Chart .
    No  GO to  R2

  2. R2 REPEAT THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Repeat the BCM self-test.

    Is DTC U1000:00 still present? 

    Yes  Refer to BCM Hardware Testing .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The circuit short has been repaired.
