Removal And Installation

WARNING: Keep hands clear of all moving seat mechanisms when releasing the recliner lever. The recliners are spring loaded and release with high force. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.

Release the backrest cover J-clips.

If equipped with heated seats, follow the heated seat mat wire harness up the backrest, disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wire harness retainer.

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip may be torn from the backrest foam pad.

If equipped with climate controlled seats, separate the hook-and-loop strips and invert the backrest cover up as far as possible.

NOTE: Note wire harness routing for installation.

If equipped, disconnect the backrest Thermo-Electric Device (TED), power lumbar motor and disengage the wire harness pin-type retainers.
- Route the wire harness out of the backrest frame.

5.

Remove the 4 recliner-to-backrest frame bolts.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

6.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
