Item Description
1 Range select Indicator
2 Transmission Control Switch (TCS)
3 Select Shift Transmission (SST) switch

When the selector lever is in the D position the select shift transmission allows the driver to progressively lock out overdrive gears but keeps the transmission shifting automatically through lower gears. When towing in busy traffic or hilly areas, this prevents the transmission from shift hunting when loads cannot be pulled in overdrive gears.

When the selector lever is moved to the M position the driver has complete control over transmission shifting by manually selecting which gear to operate in. This allows the driver to hold a specific gear for more complete control of your vehicle.

The select shift switch is located on the selector lever and is not serviceable. If a new switch is required install a new selector lever assembly.

The select shift is enabled by pressing the toggle switch located on the selector lever. Once the switch is applied all available gears will be displayed above the PRNDL display. The current gear will be displayed in orange and all other gears will be displayed in ice blue.

When moving the selector lever into the M position all displayed gears on instrument cluster will disappear except the gear the transmission is in. By pressing plus (+) on the toggle switch once will shift the transmission to next highest gear. Pressing the minus (-) on the toggle switch will shift the transmission to next lowest gear. If downshifting the transmission would cause engine over speed the gear desired will flash then disappear indicating shift was attempted but not achieved.

When select shift is not enabled only the PRNDL will remain displayed and the row above will remain dark.
