SYMPTOM CHART - EXTERNAL CONTROLS

The Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA) system does not release/lock correctly	Wiring harness (circuitry) BSIA Smart Junction Box (SJB) fuse 5 (10A)	GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
The selector lever is out of correct gear relationship	Selector lever cable and bracket installation Selector lever retaining clip Selector lever cable out of adjustment	GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
Selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear	Selector lever cable and bracket installation	TIGHTEN the bolts holding the selector lever cable bracket.
The Transmission Control Switch (TCS) is inoperative	Battery Junction Box (BJB) fuse 39 (15A) TCS TCS not cycled during self-test PCM Wiring harness (circuitry)	GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
The Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL) is not operating correctly	LED Instrument Cluster (IC) PCM	REFER to INFORMATION CENTER - INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
Excessive selector lever effort	Selector lever cable	INSTALL a new selector lever cable.
Excessive selector lever effort	Selector cable and bracket installation	ADJUST the selector cable. TIGHTEN the selector cable bracket bolts.
Selector lever will not shift	Selector lever cable	INSTALL a new selector lever cable.
Selector lever will not shift	Broken selector level cable	INSTALL a new selector lever cable.
