Removal and Installation

NOTE: The compass module is glued to the headliner.
NOTE: When replacing the compass module, obtain 3M™ Duramix™ 4747 Super Fast Adhesive commercially to attach the compass module to the headliner. The 3M™ Duramix™ 4747 Super Fast Adhesives is a +2- part adhesive in a 50 ml dual-tube applicator.
  1. Remove the headliner. Refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Remove the compass module from the headliner.
    • Disconnect the electical connector.

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  4. CALIBRATE the compass. Refer to General Procedures in INFORMATION CENTER - INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
