Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: Ignition must be OFF when disconnecting the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) electrical connector. Otherwise, a DTC will set in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) memory and must be cleared before releasing the vehicle.

    Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.

  2. Disconnect the OCSM  electrical connector.
  3. Remove the 2 screws and OCSM  .
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  5. If a new OCSM  has been installed, carry out the Occupant Classification System (OCS) System Reset procedure. For additional information, refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (OCS) SYSTEM RESET  in the General Procedures portion of this article.
