PSCM Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Accelerator pedal position PCM This message is sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message provides the PSCM with the current accelerator pedal position and notifies the PSCM if the data is valid or invalid. The PSCM uses accelerator pedal position information for speed sensitive steering assist, pull-drift compensation and the lane keeping feature.
ABS active ABS module Used to confirm the operational state of the ABS.
Engine RPM PCM This message is sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to inform the PSCM of the current engine RPM.
Ignition status BCM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to confirm the ignition status of the vehicle.
Lane keeping alert request IPMA This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to command the EPAS gear if intervention is required for the lane keeping alert feature of the Lane Keeping System (LKS).
Lane keeping aid request IPMA This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to command the EPAS gear if intervention is required for the lane keeping aid feature of the Lane Keeping System (LKS).
Power pack status PCM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to confirm the status of the operating mode; off - torque not available, on - torque not available, start in progress - torque not available or on - torque available.
Power system status BCM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to confirm the status of the vehicle battery and charging system.
Stability control brake active ABS module Used to confirm the operational state of the stability control system.
Steering angle request PAM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to command the EPAS gear during parking aid maneuvers.
Steering effort request IPC This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to inform the PSCM of the current, driver selected steering mode; normal, sport or comfort.
Steering wheel angle ABS module Used to verify the validity of the steering angle sensor.
Traction control brake active ABS module Used to confirm the operational state of the traction control system.
Trailer backup assist cancel IPC This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message informs the PSCM the trailer backup assist event has been cancelled by the system.
Trailer backup assist data IPC This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message contains the trailer dimensions and trailer-to-vehicle dimensions input by the driver into the IPC message center. This information is necessary for the correct operation of the trailer backup assist system.
Trailer backup assist enable request IPC This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message informs the PSCM the driver has enabled the trailer backup assist system using the IPC message center.
Trailer backup assist switch TRM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message informs the PSCM the driver has pressed the trailer backup assist switch.
Trailer backup assist status IPMB This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message informs the PSCM of the current status of the trailer backup assist system, the angle of the trailer, the rate of angle change and the calculated angle off-set.
Trailer connected TBM This message informs the PSCM there is a trailer connected to the vehicle.
Transfer case range TCCM This message informs the PSCM of the current transfer case range; low range locked, low range auto, low range 2wd, neutral, high range locked, high range auto or high range 2wd. The PSCM modifies the steering feel and level of assist based on the current transfer case range.
Transmission gear lever position PCM This message is sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. This message informs the PSCM of the current driver selected transmission gear.
Vehicle configuration information BCM This message is first sent to the GWM and then to the PSCM. Used to compare the PSCM configuration against the vehicles specific configuration (central car configuration).
Vehicle lateral acceleration ABS module Used by the PSCM for steering assist calculations.
Vehicle lateral acceleration RCM Used by the PSCM for steering assist calculations.
Vehicle longitudinal acceleration ABS module Used by the PSCM for steering assist calculations.
Vehicle speed data ABS module Used to determine the level of assist supplied to the steering gear and to validate the steering wheel component angle by comparing the rotational speeds of each wheel. The difference in the speed of each wheel is used to derive a steering angle for comparison against the EPAS motor position sensor.
Vehicle yaw rate ABS module Used by the PSCM for steering assist calculations.
