Removal and Installation

NOTE: Ignition must be OFF when disconnecting the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) electrical connector. Otherwise, a DTC will set in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) memory and must be cleared before releasing the vehicle.
Turn the ignition OFF and wait at least one minute.
- Disconnect the OCSM electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 screws and OCSM.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new OCSM has been installed, carry out the Occupant Classification System (OCS) System Reset procedure. For additional information, refer to OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (OCS) SYSTEM RESET under General Procedures.
