| The starter spins but the engine does not crank | Starter motor | INSPECT the starter motor mounting and engagement. REFER to Starter Motor - 2.0L GTDI , Starter Motor - 3.5L GTDI , or Starter Motor - 3.7L Ti-VCT , or Starter Motor Drive Gear and Flywheel Ring Gear Inspection . REPAIR as necessary. |
