Pinpoint Test C : Transmission Control Switch: Notes

Transmission Control Switch 

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

The TCS is a momentary contact switch located on the selector lever knob. Pressing the TCS will engage or disengage the Grade Assist function of the transmission. When Grade Assist is engaged, the Grade Assist icon will illuminate on the IPC.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
P1780 Transmission Control Switch (O/D Cancel) Circuit Out Of Self-Test Range The TCS/Grade Assist switch or circuit failed during the self-test.
