Powertrain/Drivetrain Mount Neutralizing

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. NOTE: 2.5L shown, other engines similar.

    Loosen, but do not remove, the 2 engine mount bolts.

  5. Loosen, but do not remove, the 2 roll restrictor bolts.
    • Verify that the roll restrictor is loose.

  6. NOTE: Do not twist or strain the powertrain/drivetrain mounts or damage to the mounts may occur.

    Center the engine and transmission mounts to the center of the slots in the mount brackets.

  7. Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).

  8. Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

  9. NOTE: Rock the powertrain/drivetrain assembly forward and rearward to ensure the roll restrictor is not bound.

    Tighten to 125 Nm (92 lb-ft).

  10. Install the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  11. Test the system for normal operation.
