Selector Lever Cable Adjustment

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Set the selector lever in the drive (D) position.

    1. Rotate the manual control lever clockwise until it stops.
    2. Rotate the manual control lever counterclockwise 3 detents.

    1. Gently pry the latch up.
    2. Push the lock tab to slide it down.

  4. NOTE: After locking the adjuster, pull back on the adjuster to make sure it is securely installed.
    1. With the adjuster locking tab released, connect the selector lever cable end to the manual control lever.
    2. Push the lock upward to lock the transmission selector lever cable adjustment lock.

  5. Verify that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL only and that the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE.
