DTC U0428:00 indicates a concern with the signals transmitted by the SASM and used by the EPAS system. Do not install a new EPAS assembly if DTC U0428:00 is set.
DTC U0428:62 indicates the steering angle value sent from the SASM does not match the internal EPAS steering angle. All functions requiring the steering angle message are disabled.
The presence of either one of these DTCs prevents the active park assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park assist event, the event is terminated and the active park assist system is deactivated.
