Disabling Transport or Factory Mode

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this service information, refer to Safety Warnings in SERVICE INFORMATION . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  1. Place the ignition in the OFF position.
  2. Verify the battery is fully charged. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. NOTE: ON vehicles with intelligent access (IA), place a programmed IA key in the passive anti-theft system (PATS) transceiver slot.

    Place the ignition in the ON position.

    NOTE: Steps 4 and  5 must be carried out within 10 seconds.
  4. Press and release the brake pedal 5 times.
  5. Press and release the hazard switch 2 times (on, off).
  6. NOTE: When exiting Factory mode, the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center will indicate NORMAL MODE when the procedure has been successfully completed.

    Place the ignition in the OFF position.
