Pinpoint Test Ag: The Compass Is Inoperative (With 4.2" Front Display Interface Module)

NOTE: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
  1. AG1 CHECK THE COMPASS ZONE AND CALIBRATION SETTINGS THROUGH THE MESSAGE CENTER 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Enter the vehicle settings in the message center and verify whether the compass zone and calibration setting menu is present.
    • Is the compass zone and calibration setting menu present? 
  2. AG2 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM MODULE (GPSM) SELF-TEST 
    • Carry out the GPSM self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded? 
  3. AG3 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) SELF-TEST 
    • Carry out the BCM self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded? 
    • Yes  : Section 419-10.
    • No  : GO to AG4.
  4. AG4 RETRIEVE THE RECORD DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) SELF-TEST 
    • Carry out the IPC self-test.
    • Are any DTCs recorded?
