Without Intelligent Access (IA)
NOTE:
Program a minimum of 2 keys into the vehicle.
NOTE:
This procedure only programs the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) portion of the key into the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). It does not program the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Identification Code (TIC) into the Body Control Module (BCM).
- Turn the key from the OFF position to the RUN position.
- From the scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select Body - Security - PATS Functions and follow the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) on-screen instructions to Enter PATS security access.
- From the scan tool menu, select the appropriate key programming procedure and follow the on-screen instructions to program the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) portion of the key(s).
- Disconnect the scan tool.
- Refer to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Programming in HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS to program the RKE portion of the key.
NOTE:
A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed into the vehicle.
