Selector Lever with SelectShift™ Switch

The selector lever with a SelectShift™ switch has the following positions:

In the selector lever position , the transmission can be manually shifted by operating the SelectShift™ switch which is located on the side of the selector lever. The SelectShift™ switch is hard-wired to the TCM. The upshift or downshift signal is transmitted to the TCM via two wires.

Only with the ignition switched on, the brake pedal pressed and the parking lock release button pressed, can the selector lever be moved out of the position.

The engine can only be started in the or position.
