Key Programming Using Diagnostic Equipment

- Refer to: DIAGNOSTIC METHODS ).
- From the diagnostic scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select Body > Security > PATS Functions and follow the on-screen instructions to enter PATS security access.
- From the diagnostic scan tool menu, select the appropriate key programming procedure and follow the on-screen instructions to program the passive key(s).

General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
To enter the PATS security access if no programmed passive keys are available, start a vehicle session using a tear tag or PCM part number. The PATS security access can still be granted even with the ignition off.
NOTE:
A maximum of 8 keys can be programmed into the vehicle.
