Pinpoint Test QA: Unable to Activate Self-Test/Network Communication Error: Introduction: Notes

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

• unable to communicate with powertrain control module (PCM)
• unable to activate the PCM self-test
• incorrect self-test procedure
• harness circuits: ISP-R, PCMRC, PWRGND and VPWR
