MyKey® Interaction

Through the MyKey® feature, the traction control function of the vehicle dynamic system can be configured to be always on or to allow the driver to select the traction control function on or off. When the traction control function is configured to be always on and a MyKey® restricted key is in use on vehicle equipped with a 2.0L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine and a message center, the IPC ignores any requests made by the driver to disable the traction control function and does not send any traction control disable messages to the ABS module. On vehicles equipped with a 2.0L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) engine, the ABS module ignores any driver input through the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF switch. Refer to the Owner's Literature for additional information on the various MyKey® settings.
