Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Sensor Module: Installation

Rear NOx sensor module 

  1. NOTE: Do not apply any type of electrical grease or lubricants to the electrical connectors.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

    Club Cab and Super Cab front NOx sensor module 

  2. NOTE: Do not apply any type of electrical grease or lubricants to the electrical connectors.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

    Regular Cab front NOx sensor module 

  3. NOTE: Do not apply any type of electrical grease or lubricants to the electrical connectors.
    • Tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

    All NOx sensor modules 

  4. NOTE: This step may not be needed if the calibration levels of the Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Sensor Module and PCM are coordinated (matched).

    Using the scan tool, update the NOx sensor module and the PCM to the latest calibration level following the on-screen instructions.
