WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2013 Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2013 Ford F-350 Super Duty, and 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The cruise control system consists of the following components:
- Cruise control switches (integral to the steering wheel switch)
- Cruise control indicator
- Clockspring
- Electronically-controlled throttle body (gasoline engines)
- PCM
- Stoplamp switch
- Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) (located on the steering column)
During normal driving the vehicle speed can vary slightly from the set speed due to road conditions. The vehicle speed can fluctuate when driving up and down a steep hill. If the vehicle speed decreases more than 16 km/h (10 mph) below the set speed, the cruise control disengages.
When a My Key™ is in use vehicle speed is limited to 130 km/h (80 mph).
