Diagnostic Aids

For DTC U3000:49, the presence of this DTC may or may not affect steering assist. It will depend on what other DTCs (if any) are set along with U3000:49. Diagnose all other DTCs before diagnosing U3000:49.

For DTC U3000:61, the PSCM will remove steering assist, enter into a manual mode and transmit an invalid steering angle message over the HS-CAN bus. The PSCM will also send a message to the instrument cluster to display the POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT message in the message center.

The presence of either of these DTC prevents the active park assist system (if equipped) and lane keep assist system (if equipped) from activating. If set during an active park or lane keep assist event, the event is terminated and the assist system is deactivated.
