Pinpoint Test K: The One-Touch Up/Down Feature Is Inoperative

  1. K1 DE-INITIALIZE, THEN INITIALIZE THE DOOR WINDOW MOTOR 
    • De-initialize the suspect door window motor, then carry out the window motor initialization procedure. Refer to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION .
    • Is the one-touch up/down feature operating correctly? 
    1. Yes  : The system is operating normally at this time. The window motor lost initialization.
    2. No  : GO to K2.
  2. K2 CHECK THE SUSPECT WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH 
    • Ignition OFF.
    • Disconnect: LH Front Window Control Switch C504 or RH Front Window Control Switch C604.
    • Carry out the component test for the suspect door window control switch. Refer to appropriate OEM WIRING COMPONENT TESTING for component testing .
    • Did the door window control switch pass the component test? 
    1. Yes  : INSTALL a new LH or RH front window motor. REFER to WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR - FRONT DOOR . INITIALIZE the front window motor. REFER to WINDOW MOTOR INITIALIZATION . TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. No  : INSTALL a new LH or RH window control switch. REFER to WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH . TEST the system for normal operation.
