This DTC is usually set if the PSCM has recently been flashed and the flash was done incorrectly or was interrupted. When this DTC is set the EPAS system may fail to power up, operating only in manual steering mode or will operate in reduced assist mode. If equipped with active park assist, park assist is removed when this DTC is set.
