Powertrain Control Module (PCM): Removal

All engines 

  1. Wit the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. NOTE: PCM installation DOES NOT require new keys or programming of keys, only a Parameter Reset of the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS).

    Retrieve the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration retrieval steps of the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) procedure. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

  3. Remove the LH fender splash shield. Refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .

    1.6L GTDI, 2.0L GTDI engines
