Powertrain Control Module (PCM) - 3.5L GTDI: Installation

  1. Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in)

  2. Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

  3. Install the cowl panel. REFER to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  4. NOTE: This step is only necessary if installing a new component.

    Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the PMI procedure. REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

    Special Tool(s): Scan Tool.

  5. Reprogram the PATS  . Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. Vehicles without IA  , REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS), WITHOUT INTELLIGENT ACCESS . Vehicles with IA  , REFER to PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM (PATS), WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS .
  6. After completing the repairs, use the scan tool to perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure, following the on-screen instructions.
