Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor

The BARO sensor directly measures barometric pressure to estimate the exhaust back pressure. Exhaust back pressure influences speed density based air charge computation. For vehicles with a BARO sensor, the sensor is integral to the PCM. For vehicles without a BARO sensor, the value is calculated from other sensor inputs to the PCM.
